Hallie Duan- The Owner
Hallie moved to Madison 25 years ago from the northeast to raise her family in a town offering all of the benefits of small-town America. With a culinary background developed during years of dining in the New York metropolitan area and traveling abroad, Hallie fell in love with foods from all corners of the globe. After establishing her catering company, she started scouting locations for her next venture- a venue. From working in the catering industry for many years, Hallie had acquired an extensive amount of knowledge and experience regarding weddings and events and knew that Empire Mills would be a step in the right direction. Empire Mills sat dormant since the seventies until she purchased the 17,000 square foot property in 2012 and began the two-phase restoration process.
OFFICE TEAM
The Office team is made up of Sales, Marketing, Chief Financial Officer, and Staffing manager. When you fill out an inquiry form with Empire Mills your main points of contact will be our sales team, Kathleen and Katie Marie. They are the prime resource for all of our clients with their vast knowledge of the field as well as the company. Our sales team is personable and detail oriented, showing great care for each and every one of our clients. Their passion is to make your dream event come to life. Alex, our staffing and Chief financial officer works tirelessly to make sure events are staffed with enthusiastic and qualified individuals, while also keeping our numbers in check. Our office team is here to make sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently to make our clients big day as magical as possible.
EVENT MANAGEMENT TEAM
Our Event Management Team truly does it all. From set up and tear down all the way through managing your event, the Event Management team is there every step of the way. If you host an event here at Empire Mills, one of our incredible event managers will make sure your big day goes on without a hitch. Working collaboratively with our sales and coordination team, the event management team works strenuously to make your dream a reality. Our event managers are personable and detail oriented, which helps your big event run smoothly.
KITCHEN TEAM
From your initial tasting, all the way through your event our kitchen team strives for perfection to serve immaculate dishes to our clients. As Empire Mills in house catering, Hallie Jane's Catering, delivers an unforgettable culinary experience to each of our clients. Hallie, our executive chef as well as owner, takes pride in her dishes and wishes to serve our clients with nothing but the best.
